After months of planning, the Xi’an Branch of Sunny Optical Research Institute was officially established on September 8, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the “Xi ‘an Platform”).

On that day, the Xi’an platform held a brief yet grand founding ceremony. Vice President Dong Kewu of the Group, Assistant to the President Gong Yanyun and Deputy Director Chen Shitao of Sunny Optical Research Institute, as well as relevant representatives from Xi’an Jiaotong University and Xidian University, witnessed this significant moment together!

Vice President Dong Kewu stated in his opening remarks that the Xi’an platform, as a pioneer of Sunny Optical’s domestic platforms, holds significant strategic importance. It is necessary to fully leverage the local talent and university resource advantages, set a good benchmark, and form a systematic operation model to provide valuable successful experience for the subsequent platform construction.

Assistant President Gong Yanyun, on behalf of the Academia Sinica, stated that in the subsequent development, the headquarters will provide more support and resource sharing to help the Xi’an platform grow rapidly.

The Xi’an platform is located in Changsheng Science and Technology Industrial Park, High-tech Zone, Xi’an City, covering an area of 1,370 square meters. It is situated in an area where advantageous resources such as industries, talents and policies are concentrated, and is equipped with complete supporting facilities.
